The Natterjack Inn

The Natterjack Inn. Originally called the Railway Hotel, it was built to provide a service for the passengers at Evercreech Junction on the busy Somerset and Dorset line. When the line closed in 1966 the inn was aptly named The Silent Whistle. After changing hands, it became The Natterjack out of the owner's interest in the now protected Natterjack toad. The Natterjack is in the heart of Somerset, one of Britain's most beautiful counties and producer of some of it's finest food and drink.

The Manor House Inn has something different to offer. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. There are flagstone floors and roaring log fires in this 17th century pub made from the impressive Ditcheat red brick. It was originally owned by the Lord of the Manor, Edmund Dawe, and was called The White Heart, but by 1861 had become known as The Manor House Inn.
